Lifestyle Mechanics Studio is the only Official Spinning® Facility in Martinsville and in Somerset County! Each of our instructors bring excitment and stye. Their energizing music will help you integrate your body and mind to generate an exhilarating workout. We use the The Spinner® NXT 7170. These are brand new Spinning Bikes and are very well taken care of and maintained every three months. If you have never taken Spinning or you had a terrible experience, we invite you to our facility to ride with caring, professional Spinning instructors. Our simple-to-use online reservation system makes signing up for classes easy and convenient. Just find a class you like and click-you're in! No waiting on lines, no getting "shut out". No calling the night before. You can easily reserve online.
Imagine a whole bunch of Spinning bikes lined up inside our Lifestyle Mechanics Facility. Riders are on each one, spinning the pedals at a rapid pace. The lights are turned down, pumped up music fills the air and an instructor with a headset sits atop a lead bike, calling out commands.
Our classes are lead by instructors who normally guide participants through a series of phases, from warm-up to more challenging phases, to a period of peak effort followed by a cool down.
In spinning classes, the intensity of the workout is influenced by a couple of things:
- Cadence, or pedal rate.
- Resistance of the bike’s flywheel, which can be continually adjusted throughout the class to make pedaling easier or more difficult.
- By the rider’s body position, as they either pedal from a seated position or rise from the saddle.
Every class is a little different, but one of the great things about the Spinning program is that it is adaptable to your fitness level. Remember that there’s no competition. Listen to your body and adjust the resistance on your bike accordingly.
